Assist young patients with hygiene, dressing, and monitor patient vital signs, including temperature, heart rate, and report changes to healthcare professionals. Assist with medication management, administration, ensure adhere to pediatric dosages and schedules. Work with pediatricians, nurses, other healthcare professionals on patient care.
Help with physical therapy exercises designed for pediatric patients and perform basic medical care and first aid as required. Maintain patient health records and documents related to pediatric care.
Support dietary, meal preparation, nutritional needs of children and perform home health aide support to pediatric patients and their families.
A certification as a home health aide in pediatric care preferred with 2 or more years of experience in home healthcare working with children. Knowledge of pediatric medical care with patient, and child development with strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
Caring and able to work with children of diverse backgrounds and needs. Proficient in pediatric healthcare equipment and practices and work together with a pediatric healthcare team.
