As an academic interventionist, you perform assessments to identify students at risk of academic challenges. Analyze student performance data to find specific areas of need.
Develop customized prevention plans based on individual student needs. Collaborate with teachers and other educational people to help students in classroom.
Provide direct help to students, either individually or in small groups. Utilize instructional strategies to address learning gaps. Keep monitor the progress of students receiving interventions.
Change intervention plans as needed based on ongoing data and work with classroom teachers to coordinate interventions. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and intervention strategy.
Stay with the best practices related to academic intervention. Participate in professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Need bachelor’s degree in education, Psychology, or a related field with master’s degree preferred.
Teaching certification and experience in academic intervention with strong understanding of prevention and best strategies. Need excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data based on data-driven decisions. Ability to Work as a team with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders. Committed to building a positive learning environment.
